Foundations of Clinical Research Course

This course is designed to provide clinicians and biomedical scientists with foundational training in clinical research design, methods, statistical analysis and interpretation. This Course is over 30 hours of online live lectures, workshops, journal clubs, beside the take home assignments.

Learning Objectives:


1. Understand the different types of research, and clinical research designs
2. Identify a research question and choose the appropriate design
3. Plan and conduct a clinical research project, avoiding problematic design and conduct errors
4. Understand basic concepts of biostatistics, interpret results, and develop a statistical analysis plan


Target Audience: 


Foundations of Clinical Research is designed as:
1. An introductory course for medical students, interns, residents, fellows, registrars and junior faculty, from any specialty, with no or minimal experience in clinical research.
2. Mid-career consultants and faculty will benefit from this course as a refresher to their knowledge and skills to clinical research.
3. Dentists, pharmacists, and other similar healthcare professionals with genuine interest in clinical research are encouraged to register.
